There are some important legal issues that you should be aware of when supplying images, music, film or text to your designer(s)

• All images must have the permission from the photographer(s)
• All images if bought from a stock library or downloaded from the internet must carry permissions for use.
• To avoid plagiarism, make sure that all sources of information are credited accordingly, this may not apply the content has been significantly altered.
• When using testimonials or quotations, ensure you have permission to do so. Permissions should be in writing if possible, which you should keep for your records.
• If musical excerpts or samples are to be used, make sure you contact the correct governing body to obtain copyright permissions.
• If film clips or still frame shots are to be used, make sure you contact the correct governing body to obtain copyright permissions.
• If website screen grabs are to be used, make sure you contact the correct governing body to obtain copyright permissions.
